Monforte del Cid is a municipality in the province of Alicantein the Valencian Community (Spain). Located in the interior of the province of Alicante, in the comarca of the Medio Vinalopó. It has a population of 7,603 inhabitants (INE 2015).
The main festivals are the Moors and Christians festivities of Monforte del Cid are held from December 5 to 9, in honor of the Purísima, and are declared of provincial tourist interest.
It is also worth mentioning The Pilgrimage of San Pascualwhich has been celebrated since 1637 in the hamlet of Orito, every May 17. The local economy is also supported by a growing industry. Marble is Monforte del Cid'sl is the main industry of Monforte del Cid, producing together with the other municipalities of the region 60% of the total production of marble in Spain.
Monforte also has a traditional and artisanal industry: the elaboration of Aniseed and Liqueurs (Spirits); being the most famous drink the "paloma monfortina".dove monfortina"whose production has been maintained in the municipality since the 19th century.

ALENDA GOLF
The Golf Course of Alenda Golf is located in a natural environment, dominated by the Sierra de las Águilas, on the Alicante-Madrid highway (A-31). It has been designed and built by Roland Favrat, respecting to the maximum the initial orography and the vegetation of the estate. The course was completed in October 1999. It occupies 49 hectares of land, 18 holes par 72 and 6,257 meters of course, in addition it has a complete Driving Range with 25 mats, bunker, and 2 greens. The area is illuminated and allows you to practice until 10:00 pm. It also has the pitch & puttalso called 19th hole, is an excellent practice area composed of 6 tees converging on the same green with 3 holes. It is ideal for beginners and experts who want to practice the short game. It is rented for a limited time, during which it is not occupied by anyone else.

LA FONT DEL LLOP GOLF RESORT
La Font del Llop Golf Resortwas born on May 1, 2010 in a project of integration of the landscaping of the valley in which it is located with the intention of uniting the environment and golf in a privileged place on the coast of Alicante.
Designed by Blake Stirling and Marco Martin, with 18 holes, it is a technical, links-style course with five lakes linked by streams that give the course an elegance and freshness.
